Why Choose Copper?
Historically copper has served as the ultimate roofing material of choice. Unsurpassed in durability, beauty, and value. Copper interacts with the environment to form a patina that protects itself from further corrosion and the colour of uniform patina is one of the glories of architectural roof systems.

Working In Partnership
Natural slate used in roof construction has excellent durability and with the natural shades and grain, the elegance of natural slate is unmatched. Unfortunately over time, the build up of Moss and Algae creates a dull finish leaving it almost impossible to distinguish what type of roofing material has been used. As our atmosphere becomes cleaner with the reduction of fossils fuels, which releases sulphur, algae on the roof is a growing problem.
Picture illustrates Moss Build up using a traditional clay Ridge.
Eliminating Moss
Copper ridge through the ageing process releases copper sulphate washing down the roof slopes preventing moss and algae growth becoming a problem. We offer a traditional barrel roll top ridge, designed for ease of application and available in a non-intrusive ventilating ridge.
Beauty
The beauty of copper from it's initial bright appearance, weathering gradually to mellow bronze tones, through to it's rich green patina, provide the aesthetic reason for choosing copper.
