Qualities of Copper Systems
Rainwater Harvesting: With the compulsory introduction of
water metering on all new builds in Northern Ireland from
2007, rainwater harvesting will become an increasing
part of building in Ireland both in terms of savings
and the environment. The use of copper on the roof
will allow copper’s natural properties to help purify
the collecting rainwater and reduce the amount of
additives required in the final purifying process.
Aesthetics: The natural development of a patina, with colours
changing from gold to chocolate brown, and eventually to the
distinctive light green seen on older roofs, adds to the appeal,
especially when used on natural slate.
Copper Ridges Systems Ltd supplies the complete system for a few very important reasons:
Fixings must be Stainless steel. Copper is a very aggressive Metal and will reject standard roof fixings.
Support Roles: Copper needs to be fully supported if not it will buckle under and pressure. Also access to the roof slopes via roof ladders will not be possible
Factory Bonded Clips: Clips are bonded to the copper in our factory prior to delivery this makes ease of installation on site and proper fixing guides pre set.
Block Ends: Copper systems Ltd supply a universal Block end to complete the ease of use.
Copper Ridge Systems Ltd Products are produced using High quality German Copper
We do not use copper coated metals.
